We recently ran into Rich Rosato (SRS ‘12) right here in Concord and asked him to share a bit about his life after Shaker Road School through our Alumni Spotlight Form on our website. Read his reflections about his time at SRS and what he’s been up to since graduating:

What have you been doing since you left SRS?
I attended Bishop Brady High School, Tufts University, Dartmouth Medical School (’26), and am applying into general surgery residency. I spend my free time hiking, skiing, and reading.

How did your SRS experience influence who you are and what you do today?
SRS provided me with a good foundation in the humanities, through which I found my strength in writing and learned to be well-rounded.

Do you have any favorite SRS memories?
On our 8th grade DC trip the teachers told us we were going to a play but surprised us with a Red Sox vs. Orioles game.

Was there a particular program or teacher at SRS that inspired your personal path?
Mr. Guilbert-Neal taught us that history is a blueprint for the future as long as we care enough to engage it with critical eyes and open minds. Despite my career in science, I am a lifelong history nerd due to his class.

If it weren’t for Shaker Road School, I wouldn’t know/have…
I learned to ski at Shaker and ended up ski racing in college, and now spend most of my free time in the mountains.

We love hearing from SRS alumni! Please take a moment to complete our short questionnaire at https://shakerroadschool.org/alumni/ and let us know what you’ve been up to. Please note: the form was down for an unknown period, and past submissions were not received. If you filled it out previously, we encourage you to submit it again. We look forward to hearing from you!
