We are writing to you with an update regarding the Summer 2020 season at Camp Shaker.
At this time, we do plan to host summer camp, if possible. We are in communication with the State of NH Youth Camp Program, NH DHHS and following Governor Sununu’s updates each week. At this time, these experts have not provided us with a definitive answer regarding summer camp. We hope to receive notification of this decision soon, but in the meantime, we will continue to move forward as if camp will be taking place.
We ask that all families complete camp registration by May 1. If we are unable to open camp, we will reimburse you for any payments you have made. If we are able to open camp at a date later than our anticipated June 15 date, we will reimburse families for the days they were registered but we were closed. Our request to you to complete registration will allow us to plan for staffing and move forward with camp preparations. At this time, all on-campus specialty camps will continue to take place but trips that take place off-campus, as well as overnight experiences, will be cancelled. These changes will be reflected on Ultra Camp in the coming days.
We know that there are many unknowns right now. Like you, we have so many questions and very few answers. We hope to be as flexible as possible with families but hope you understand that we are doing our best to plan for another excellent summer camp experience while also keeping our campers and families safe.
Should you have specific questions regarding this summer or your family’s registration, please do not hesitate to be in touch.
Stay well,
Samantha Daniels, Co-Director
