We recently caught up with alumna Caitlyn Ingram (SRS ’17) upon learning that Northeastern University’s Women’s Rowing Team won their conference championship. Caitlyn is a coxswain on the team. Her main job is to keep the athletes and equipment safe by expertly the steering the boat. She also motivates the crew, coaches their technique, and calls the moves in the races. Caitlyn reports, “I love pushing the girls in my boat; they inspire me everyday.” The team’s Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) championship win was Northeastern’s tenth straight CAA title and qualified them to compete in the Division I NCAA Championship.

After eighth grade at SRS, Caitlyn attended Brooks School where she continued her involvement in music, athletics, and community through rock band, soccer, hockey, and student government, as well as being crew co-captain and chapel prefect. Caitlyn just finished her third year as a Cell and Molecular Biology major at Northeastern. She is on a five-year track. Caitlyn completed an internship at Takeda Pharmaceuticals this past fall and this summer will begin another on the biology team of the Center for Protein Degradation at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Caitlyn hopes to continue in the field of drug discovery after she graduates.

Congratulations, Caitlyn, on your successes in and out of the classroom!
