Dear Kindergarten through 8th Grade Families,
I hope you are having a relaxing summer. We are hard at work preparing for next school year. Before we finalize plans, we are still waiting on applicable guidelines from the DOE, DHHS, and Governor Sununu.
Please know that our current planning includes a full program, including before and after school childcare, and after school activities for all grades. A hybrid program is also part of our planning. With our small class sizes, large and plentiful classroom spaces, and abundant outdoor options, we are in an excellent position compared to other schools to return to campus and learn together.
The more diligent we all act to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in New Hampshire, and especially our local community, the more likely we will remain in school. We do not want to return to remote learning. All members of our community play an important role in this.
Of course, some activities will change, but we plan to provide as many alternate activities as possible. It is always exciting to try something new. As we continue planning, we are considering all options to support the experiential learning strand of our program.
We hope to hear from state officials soon. After we take some time to process the guidelines and recommendations, we will be in touch with more concrete plans for the 2020-2021 school year including policies and procedures. Please stay tuned.
Back to school packets will also be released at the beginning of August.
Enjoy the summer and be safe!
Dr. Matt
